India’s shipping ministry is looking to provide tax concessions – on the lines of the ones available for special economic zones – to draw investors for its Coastal Economic Zone (CEZ) scheme. The ministry is in the process of seeking approval for the same from various stakeholders including the NITI Aayog, Department of Expenditure, DIPP and the road ministry.
