Somaliland looking at key role with Berbera Port on The Red Sea Trade Lane

Somaliland, that broke away from Somalia in 1991, is looking at the port of Berbera to play a key economic role as it gains significance on the Red Sea shipping route. Somaliland struck a deal early this year giving Dubai port giant DP World and Ethiopia 51-percent and 19 percent stakes in the Berbera port respectively.
