Rotterdam & Hamburg ports adopt single data interface to ease the flow of ships

The Hamburg Vessel Coordination Center (HVCC) and the Rotterdam Port Authority have jointly put in place a singular digital interface that allows data exchange between the two facilities. The interface will help cargo ships sailing between Rotterdam and Hamburg to adjust their travel speed and optimise fuel consumption based on real-time arrival and departure times.
