VENUE

Maritime Nation India 2017 will be held at the CIDCO International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Navi Mumbai is one of the leading upcoming smart cities in India and is home to India's largest container port, JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust) and is home to a significant part of the maritime ecosystem of India.

The CIDCO International Exhibition and Convention Centre is a state-of- the-art building complex spread over 7.4 Hectares; it has been built by the government to promote such international exhibitions and conventions.

It is a fully-air conditioned green building certified by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under the LEED criteria. The exhibition hall, with a total area of 5000 square meters and underground air distribution system, is an excellent facility for exhibiting equipment and setting up booths. The complex also has business centres, auditorium, food court, ancillary block, and a parking space for about 500 cars.

Distance
The exhibition centre is situated right next to JNPT, India’s largest container port and is within an hour’s drive from the heart of Mumbai. It is also a two-minute drive from Vashi suburban-railway station on the harbour line, 45-minute drive from Mumbai International airport via the elevated Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR), and less than an hour’s drive from Central Mumbai via the Eastern Express freeway.

Hotels and Weather
There are several luxury hotels within a 2-km radius from the venue, such as Four Points by Sheraton G, Regenza by Tunga Group of Hotels, and Royal Orchid to name a few. The weather at the time of the trade show is pleasant with an average temperature of 30 degree celsius.

India has a coastline of more than 7,500 Km with over 190 ports situated along its length.

About 50% of world's container traffic and close to 30% of world's cargo traffic passes through this region.

India's 1200 island territories and its huge Exclusive Economic Zone of 2.4 million square kilometers makes clear the economic significance of the India Ocean.
