The new Aqaba port will begin its operations mid-2018, after the old port site is handed over for the purpose of building the Marsa Zayed, a large-scale development project. The Marsa Zayed project will be a distinctive Gulf-of-Aqaba landmark representing the city’s cultural and touristic image and an important destination for Jordanians and guests from other countries.
