The Indian ministry for Shipping, Highways, Road Transport and Water Resources has has offered to develop Vodarevu port in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district. Presently, Andhra Pradesh has one major port — Visakhapatnam — where any further expansion of the port is not possible as the existing port has become a part of the city.
